                   REFERENCE: SHED, Frank E., 1921, Daniel Shed Genealogy; pages 12-15, born in
Chawreth (now Broxted), County of Essex, in 1508, but when a young man settled
in the adjoining rural parish Debden in Uttlesford Hundred, where passed the
rest of his life.  During his lifetime, the Reformation, or revolt from the
Church of Rome, was peranently accomplished on the accession of Elizabeth in
1558; and he and his children conformed to the Protestant Established Church of
England.  Thomas Shedd held lands of the manor of Amerden Hall; was involved in
some litigation, of which his deceased father was involved.  He was married
about 1538, but the name of his wife , who evidently predeceased him, has not
been found.  They had four chidren from about 1539 to 1545, with Thomas being
their fourth child..

                   REFERENCE: SHED, Frank E., 1921, Daniel Shed Genealogy; pages 15-19, was born
in Debden and lived theer at the time of his marriage in 1572.  During the next
foru years he resided in the adjoining parish of Great Easton, and in 1576
moved into the adjacent larger town of Thaxted where he continued about a score
of years. In various records he is termed a husbandman (farmer).  They had
seven children between 1573 to 1587, Thomas being the second child.
