at Grest Easton, but when an infantwas taken by his parents in their removal
into the ajoining town of Thaxted where he was brought up, and like his father
and grandfather he became a husbandman or yeoman or famer. Soon after he
married, he settled in Finchingfield in Hinckford, County Essex, a rural parish
of which the church lies five miles east the Thaxted Church.  Finchingfield is
about forty-five miles northeast of London.

                   REFERENCE: SHED, Frank E., 1921, Daniel Shed Genealogy; pages 19-21, they had
four children from about 1596 to 1605 mentioned Thomas Shed's will. Katherine
survived her husband, Thomas Shed, who was buried 9 Sep 1637.  Daniel was their
first child.

                   REFERENCE: SHED, Frank E., 1921, Daniel Shed Genealogy; became a yoeman in
Finchingfield and resided, at least in one period, in the manor of Cornish Hall.
He was held in good esteen in his parish is apparent from the fact that he held
in the church from 1631 to 1635 the offic of questman (now termed sidesman).
They had four children born 1617/18 to 1625/26, with Daniel Shed being the
second child.
