Washington commissioned him a Major & battle of MiamiRiver in OH...wounded in both legs....rescued by brother, Edward[Richard mortally wounded] Recuperated in Pittsburg, trainingtroops as Commandant of the Fort Fayette in Pittsburgh[WhiskeyRebellion] later Commanded Natchez Dist. in TN, full Col with HQat Knoxville, TN until 1802Gen.
